July 9 P.I 1) Hoysun Travelling Association, Hoysun Assoc. planned to established a tour for the Hoysun members to return to China in 2 years time. This tour was purposely for the members to see the new Hoysun School which would be completed in 2 years. Those who wanted to join should hand in $10 per month for 20 months so that the Association would store the money for the members and pay for their travelling fees when the time comes. P.3 2)CBA & were invited to make speeches' at the theatre where many attended 3) Discrimination against Chinese eggs - the Van. Sun reported an article which aimed at banning all import of Chinese eggs. The writer preferred to buy eggs from the U.S. where all the conditions were more hygeinic. 4) Immigration problems: Exclusion Conference would be held at the Chamber of Commerce H.Q. on Fender Street. All organizations were welcome to discuss the problems caused by E- Asian immigration. 5) Chee Duck Tong - welcomed 6) CKT Van. - would hold a meeting on July 10. 7) Chinese Labour Association ( ) invited and Lim for a speech night. Choi and Lim encouraged the workers to set up a larger union which would deal with the whiteman unions and prevent themselves from being excluded, They encouraged the workers to quit all bad habits and work hard. 8) Dart Coon H.Q. Victoria - gave a farewell party to & and also a group of Chinese from Jamaica, who were also returning to China.
