- July 8 CBA announced on July 8 that and a Chinese philosopher were in Van. and CBA would hold a meeting at Theatre wheee they would give speeches about educational conditions in China. P2-3 2) Immigration - exclusion: reported an article which criticized the illegal entry of Chinese using false I.D. Recently 22 'merchants' were deported and why did the Immigration Dept. not deport the 1100 Chinese who entered Canada last year using false merchant I.D. The paper threatened to reform the department if they did not take measures to exclude the Chinese workers who used false I.D.
