June 20 P. 2 1) CKT Van. - celebrated the day on June 19th. 2) (an association for 4 clans - Len, Kwan, Cheung, Chiu) celebrated the birthday of the founder of the Han's dynasty ( ). 3) Immigration problem - 41 Chinese newcomers were refused entry into Canada. (Some were only teenagers who pretended to be merchants.) They were to be deported. P. 4 4) Consul General Yeung gave a notice about the extended limit of time being absent from Canada. Exemption of $500 head tax was only applied to those who re- gistered at the department before leaving; and returned to Canada within 2 years. 5) CKT H.Q. - celebrated Day.
