June 11 P. 2 1)CKT San Francisco - description of the 2nd general convention. There was a dis- cussion about the misdoing of the New York conference of 1920 which prohibited the CKT H.Q. in Canada from collecting annual fees. Now such prohibition was officially nullified. The convention also decided tht each CKT branch should send delegates annually to educate people in the vicinity about CKT. All travelling expenses would be paid by local associations. 2)A Chinese was put in prison for 1 year due to selling of evil drugs. A Chinese was fined $204.50 for possession of drugs. P.3 3) Discrimination v.s. E. Asians - New Westminster - a white spokesman in Par- liament representing the Veteran's Association protested against the railway and the public work's Dept. which hired E. Asians. However, the railway (CNR) protested that most of their workers were white. P.3 4) Sentence matching competition - the result of the 3rd competition.
