- June 4 P.I 1) An article to discuss immigration: due to the inefficient administrative structure in Canton province, false merchants I.D. were given out; thus leading to difficulties of entry by some newcomers. The Candian govt. had already sent an investigation to China, and he discovered false i.d. could be bought at p.l 1)$400. Thus the departmenf had to amend the immigration law in order to ensure legal immigration. From now on, passports issued by the Chinese government was still valid, however, I.D. issued by certain officials would be nullified. Consul General Yeung also sent a letter back to the Canton govt. to warn against issuance of false ID by some officials. P. 2 2) CKT H.Q. in San Francisco - the agenda for the general convention. P.2 3) 2 Chinese were convicted of drug offenses. 1 was fined $600 or 6 months imprison- ment, theother was to be imprisoned for 1 year. P2-3 4) Exclusion v.s. E. Asians - the business and labour associations had held a meeting about the E. Asians. The executive had postponed thediscussion so that more organizations could participate. p.3 5) Van. Sun printed an article which attacked E. Asian farmers, and tried to ban E. Asian potatoe farmers from participating in potato farming. 6) Dart Coon H.Q. - the Chinese secretary had resigned his post which was immediately replaced by Lee Ngan Ming. 7) CKT School Victoria - Executive list: Principal ; supervisor , p. 7 8) CKT - San Francisco and Vic. - name list of donors for 1920 annual donations. p. 6 9) Realty Van. - name list of donors.
