May 25 .2 1) Exclusion of Chinese by the retail merchants - a meeting was held whereby they critized Chinese and Japanese of holding important business positions; moreover they were holding fertile farmland in the interior. They thus hoped the exclusion of Chinese and Japanese from Canada would happen. 2) Discrimination v.s. Chinese - an article on Van. Sun suggesting it was necessary to replace Chinese workers with white workers. 3) Van. Sun printed an article sent by McLelland and McCarter Ltd. which criticized Chinese eggs. P.3 4) CKT Sam Hap Co.
