May 6 P.2 1) Canadian Legion held a meeting to discuss employment of E. Asian workers on (British liners, calling on Canadian ports. They decided to elect a few representatives to investigate on E. Asian workers. Some suggested to replace E. Asians workers in CPR with Veterans. Some said that since many farmers in B.C. had advettised that they would like to have Japanese partners, investigation was essential °make clear the situation. P. 2 2) CBA Van. - the religious society sent a letter to the CBA regardng the 2 liquor stores to be established in Chinatowns in Van. and Vic. They said that liquor could be very dangerous. Moreover if the white community was so concerned about illegal drugs and gambling, they shouldn't promote drinking in Chinatown. The religious society hoped to appeal to the provincial legislature to _________ the liquor store project. It was hoped that CBA would support or initiate the appeal. P.3 3) CKT _ H.Q. in Victoria and San Francisco - a name list of donors for annual donation. 4) CKT Prince George - donation list for associational expenses. 5) CKT H.Q. had been sent by the H.Q. to Trail and he thanked them in the paper for the warm welcome given him by the associations in Trail, Rossland, Nelson and Grand Forks. 5) Kai-ping Ming Pao Van. - the constitution was posted. Shareholders were needed. Temporary planning committee was elected. President ; Vice.
