- May 5 The Veteran Association held a meeting on May 3 when the members suggested to fire all E. Asian workers and replace them with veterans. A letter would be sent to the B.C. legislature informing the proposal. P.2 2) 2 Chinese were arrested for selling illegal drugs. They were bailed out at $5000. P.3 3) Local Improvement Cttee - Consul Yip of Van. already tried to establish a good self-improvement association with involvement from various Chinese organizations. He had already got the names of the participants and he was going to assign posts for them. 4) News from Ottawa - amendments would be made to increase punishment on drug offences. P. 21 5) Lim Gee Ho Tong Victoria - announced that each clan member had to give $1 membership fee.
