April 23 P.2 1)The Chinese Times received a message from the CBA in San Francisco - since there would be an election for an MP representing the overseas Chinese, the CBA in San Francisco elected Wong S.C. ( ) as candidate for the MP. Wong would be travelling from Shanghai to Peking on May 5 for the election. 2)The Fed. government had ordered the immigration office to check on the new Chinese immigrants who used merchant I.D. Such news was released by an MP named , who stated that there were about 1,000 Chinese immigrants, entering Canada using false merchant identity. 3) The judge tried 9 drug offenders; 8 of the 9 were committed by Chinese. Most of them were put in prison in addition to heavy fines. 4) CKT H.Q. - name list of donors for annual donations. Donations came from places like Prince George, Grand Forks, etc.
