April 12 P.2 1) The unemployed and Veteran's Association sent an article to the Sun attacking a police officer of inefficiency. They also atacked the massive entry of E. Asians, whom they regarded as lower race who brought drugs into Canada. P. 2 2) The Income Tax Association in N.8 district ( ) held a meeting about Chinese immigration problems. They decided to ask the Federal Income Tax association to set up regulations prohibiting Chinese from entering Canada. 3) 3 Chinese were arrested for possession of opium. One was fined $200 and court fees, the other two were found not guilty. 4) A Chinese merchant Wong Wai, living at 409 Columbia was arrested for selling and possessing Cocaine. He confessed that he dealt with %-million dollars worth of drugs in 1920. He was not allowed bail. 5) Fund raising Victoria . The bazaar held at CCT was successful. There were at the same time a dancing party, exhibition of Chinese antiques. There was quite a lot of helpers. 6) Fund raising Vancouver - the bazaar received donations from Saskatoon. 7) Van.Overseas Chinese Public School ( ) - list of donors.
