March 4 Fund raising for famine relief - list of donors. Hoysun Assoc. - 20f*h term donation. Fund raising for famine relief - external affairs department sent a telegram stating that the dept. had already received $8000 remitted by Van. Consulate. Fund raising assoc. donations came from Kelowna; CKT Van. - would admit new members on March 5. Discrimination v.s. Chinese - alderman , Housing inspector , Health officer , conducted an inspection around the residential Chinese area, where they all said it was below standard. They requested the city council to do something about it. It was reported that most Chinese did not know about housing regulations; they built partitions without permission.
