February 1 P.2 1) CBA Van. - the new executives would be going from door to door to collect exit hospital fees. P.2 2) On Jan. 29, the Van. Sun suggested that Canadian citizens should help relieve the draught in China by sending wheat. The suggestion was immeddiately sup- ported by many - various religious organizations. A general meeting would soon be held to discuss such a proposition, and requests would be sent to the federal government. 3) A Chinese butcher was fined $50 for possessing a bottle of wine, enen though he used the wine as seasoning. 4 ) Asian Queen arrived in Vancouver - over 600 passengers and huge quantities of eggs and silk to be transported to other places. 5) Fund raising for draught in China: the religious association was able to raise $1711 by selling pins. P. 2 6) CKT Van. - announced on Feb. 1 that general meeting on Feb. 2. P.3 7) CKT Revelstoke - Low C. Yin, and Wong Sun Chuk arrived in the area on Jan. 13. A member was elected to accompany Low and Wong to visit Trail, Rossland and Kamloops. Sharemoney was raised and a United Secutity Association ( ) was established by the 4 cities. p.3 8) CKT H.Q. - fund raising for the famine in China: a meeting had been held Jan. 29 to discuss raising funds for the draught. 2 fund raising teams were elected. 9) Chee Duck Branch - Prince George - President ; vice p. 7 10) Nan Ping Reading Room - the 1st term donation.
