- January 13 P.2 1) A White woman is going to China to inspect the draught condition in N. China. She would take a movie on the situation, too. 2) 3 gentlemen who belonged to the New York Chamber of Commerce were in Vancouver enroute to China for realty development. They were warmly welcomed by Consul General Yip, and other merchants. 3) Van. released the news sent by the H.Q. in Portland that the district was being attacked by bandits. The association in Portland had already sent $3000 back to fight the bandits. It was hoped that the Vancouver members would also do the same thing. P.3 4) news - A Chinese was fined $250 for possession of liquor, another 4 were fined $25 each for being drunk. 5) News from Victoria: unemployment rate was slightly down with people collecting and chopping wood. They were also cutting wood in/near the Chinese graveyard. 6) CKT H.Q. Reading Room - a name list of donors for the maintenance fee.
