December 16 P.3 1) CRT Van. - the final election. 2) A Chinese who had violated the liquor regulation was bailed out at $50; since he did not show up at the court, his bail was confiscated. 3) chairman of the H.K. newspaper had arrived in Van. He was a colleague of Consul General Yip for a few years in China. His mission here was to inspect the commercial development and to establish a bank. He would go to Seattle first and then return to consult with the merchants in Vancouver. P.3 4) CKT Prince Rupert - Wong, Ng and Low were in the district on Nov. 30. They were introduced to the Chinese there. A meeting was held and a few hundred dollars was raised. The CKT did not have an association, there was only a reading room established. After the visit by the 3 delegates, they decided to establish an assoc. 5)2 CKT members in Calgary thanked their fellow brothers in Calgary and Van. for giving them a farewell when they returned to China.
