November 17 p.l 1) Wong Kong Har long - article to say farewell to , who had finished his term as teacher in Victoria and was now preparing to return to China. p. 3 2) Russian Queen (Tzarina) was on her way back to the Orient. On board were the president of Chinese Education Assoc. in Washington D.C., a priest of the Peking Ching Wah University, and Chinese Minister of Commerce. 3) A Chinese was fined $25 for operating a gambling club, and 17 Chinese gamblers were fined $10. 4) News from Ottawa - due to the draught in N. China, the Chinese community in Ot- tawa had formed a fund raising committee. 5) Dart Coon H.Q. - held the 4th anniversary celebration as well as ceremony whereby new executive assumed offices. There was a tea party in the daytime and then a banquet at night when Lim Ying Low made speeches. 6) Hoysun Association - school estabalishment director held a farewell party on Nov. 14 for , who was returning to China for the school establishment. Since Wong had left, the executives voted as the new secretary.
