November 1 p. 3 1) Van. Sun reported on Oct. 30 that a merchant, Tom Ring ( ) of 254 Fender St. was arrested for possession of large quanitites of illegal drugs. Bail was set at $3000. 2) CPS Van. - held graduation ceremony on Oct. 28 when many Chinese VIP's attended: , Dr. Lee S.F., , , , , etc. There were 13 1st class graduates. $5 or $10 were given to 1st two student in each class, there were given stationary. 3) Ambassador Yeung received anotice from External Affairs Dept. about draught in the 5 northern provinces. , , , etc. The Chinese gov't. already called for relief work, help also came from Europe and the American Continent. CBA was hoped to call for fund drive. 4) Wong Kong Har Tong would have office space (123 Fender) for bidding on Nov. 18.
