October 28 , .... , ---------- certificates P.2 1) CPS Van. - quite a few brilliant graduates who were given school leave/according to achievement.Principal and donated $10 as awards for these students. Many were given $5 as a present. P.3 2) A Chinese opium smoker was fined $200 under new regulations (or 2 moths imprisonment.) 3) CBA Montreal - celebrated Confucius Day Oct. 7 when all students paid respect to him. Vice Ambassadoe Chiu was in Montreal raising funds for Hoysun School and was invited to attend the celebration. Speeches were made; tea served.
