October 26 P.2 1) Thorn S. Lin and Lan F. On representing (Western Canning Co. ) recruit share holders held a party for all Chinese leaders and merchants in Van. Consul General Yip was asked to give a speech encouraging Chinese in Canada to support the development of the fruit Co. of CBA also gave a speech. P.3 2) Consul General Yip reported a telegram transferred to him by the Embassy in the States. The telegram was sent by Chinese External dept. on Oct. 24 stating that special reward would be given to those who donated $10,000 and helped to raise $50000for the draught disaster in China. p.3 3) Dart Coon H.Q. - preliminary election, and name list. 4) Van. Fund Raising Cttee for the Kwong Dong Hospital Executive list: Dr. Lee .S.F. representative; Consul General Yip, rep; honorable member; treasurer.
