September 16 p.3 1) A Chinese was fined $100 for selling wine. 2) National Goods Exhibition ( ) - scholarly association had already called meetings for Chinese in Van., Vic., and New West, to discuss boycotting Japan. They decided to hold an exhibition on Oct. 31, to show Chinese national goods as well as merchandize from other countries. The aims were to have sale promotion and let the Chinese recognize different kinds of goods, so that they would not buy Japanese goods. All companies were welcomed to lend Chinese goods for the exhibition, those who still had Japanese goods could also be sent to the exhibition. Co-ordinator: , Vice.
