- September 7 P.2 1) CKT Van. - celebrated 5-ancestor day and over 100 members participated, including Wong and Ng, attending the ceremony. P.3 2) Tong welcomed Wong and Ng by holding a banquet. 3) Hoysun Assoc. Van. Mah K. Yue and Lee M. Sun were in Van. assisting with fund raising. A banquet was h;eld to welcome them and money was raised. 4) CBA Van. executives and Consul General Yip held a general meeting with the Chinese students on Spt. 3 when they explained to the students the school regulation. Even though the school segregation had not been enforced, the students should take measures first, e.g. they should keep quiet, abide by the law and be hygienic, and try to make good impressions on the whites. 5) CKT New Westminster - Wong and Ng visited here with Lim L. Wing, Chinese Times director . They were warmly welcomed. $600 was raised. 6) Chan Wing Cheun Reading Room Vic. - held 1st anniversary party Sept. 5. 7) Hoysun Assoc. Calgary - when fund raising agent visited the branch association in Calgary, it had already collected more than $3000 donations. 8) - received an order from the H.Q. in San Francisco to have an audit on the account over the past few years. A temporary staff was selected to visit Victoria and collect from the old treasurer the financial atatments; enen though they had accomplished the auditing, the members would like to set up an office with permanent executives/staff to administer the affairs. It was decided that each village of had to send 2 reps, for an election on Feb. 26. Names of the candidates would be sent to various Chinese stores- p.3 9) Tee Shing Shon Yee Hui Van. - the association was founded by , who had united the Tee Shing locality members (for charity and welfare to homeland). The association intended to buy the old address of Sherman Hotel (Fender Street - 174-176-178) for association building. Share holders were welcome ($50/share). 10) Chee Kong Tong San Francisco H.Q. - requested all the C.K. branches to hand in the correspondence addresses so as to have better communication.
