August 30 P.2 1) CKT Van. - Wong and Ng arrived in Van. Banquet were held Sat. and Sun. A few hundred dollars was raised. P.2-3 I) A Chinese had his hair cut in a Japanese barber shop and when he finished, a group of Chinese passers-by scolded him and beat him because he had betrayed his country by dealing with Japanese. 3) Tee Shing Shon Yee Hui - the new executives had asumed office in a general meeting where over 300 members attended. 4) Tee Shing Shon %Yee Executive list. 5) Chinese Shingle Workers Union of Canada - announced on August 30 that all members should hand in the monthly fee in order to keep the union going. 6) MDntreal - the building was completed and would open Spt. 25. The association also had a reading room. 7) announced that a meeting had been held on Aug. 23 electing executives. President: ; Director.
