- August 23 P.3 1) CKT Van. - Wong and Ng were visiting Van., pre-registration for welcoming party. 2) Hoysun Assoc, Van., more donations for the school. 3) Hoysun Assoc. Vic. - $5000 was transferred to Hoysun district to relieve the flood disaster. Also got donations from Toronto, Halifax, London, Medicine Hat, Hindsor. 4) A Chinese sawmill worker was being troubled by a white foreman in Hammond. The Chinese workers went on strike as aprotest. The foreman was fined $25 and asked to pay $25 compensation. The owner was requested to pay the injured Chinese his daily wage during his rest. 5) Hoysun Assoc. London, Ontario - collectd few hundred dollars. 6) requested Chinese merchants to gather at CBA on Aug. 25 to discuss abolishing a law that prohibited liquor from being imported into Canada. 7) CKT - a member thanked CKT for subsidizing his travelling expenses to China. 8) CKT Calgary - secretary resigned and returned to China. 9) Tee Shing Shon Yee Hui - executive list; President ; vice.
