- August 12 P.2 1) Hoysun Assoc. Van. - president ( ) of the Vic. Assoc. visited Van. to raise funds for flood relief for Hoysun district. During the meeting at CBA hundreds of dollars were raised, , , all donated in the 100 "s. 2) It was reported on August 11, P.3 that a teacher and a merchant arrived in Van. from H.Q. They were warmly welcomed by , some Chinese teachers in Van., ~ : etc. A dinner party was held to welcome them. 3) CKT H.Q. - Wong and Ng from San. Francisco H.Q. arrived in Victoria. 4) Hoysun Assoc. (Cumberland) - fund rMsing agents Chu, Mah and Lee were going door to door campaigning and raised $3000. Total donations in Cumbeland were $8000.
