August 6 P.3 1)CKT H.Q. received the notice from San Francisco H.Q. that those 2 reps. Wong and Ng would come to Canada on August 7. 2) Chinese Workers Union announced on August 2 that the Union had been established 6^years. Canadian Gov't ordered it to dissolve in 1918, which resulted in freezing of the association affairs. In order to revive the union, they had decided to organize the union into several committees, e.g.Railway, Agriculture, Mining, shingle, sawmill, barber, laundry, carpenters, tailoring, fishery/ cannery, newspaper, general affairs, etc. The union was a classless one, all Chinese were welcomed and could become members if they paid $2 admission fee and 25<? monthly.
