May 26 P.3 1) Shingle Factories - decreased their output, but most would still pay workers at their original wage. One in Van. refused to pay at that rate without ack- nowledging the Chinese workers beforehand. Then Chinese workers went on strike. 2) CKT Victoria - held a general meeting to settle the following: (a) select a representative to the New York CKT Genral Conference. They decided to choose Lim Ying Lo of H.Q. and of East to represent all CKT in Canada, (b) To award Lim L. Wing, Chow Sung and Lim Ying Lo a San Francisco H.Q. award, a gold medal, for their devotion and service. 3) Tin Look Reading Room Van. - reading room was set up by the Lan Clan. The for* reading room also provided accommodation : . Lan Clan members who were trav- elling in Van., and also an English night course. Executive election May 30. 4) CKT Winnipeg - trying to buy and associational building.
