May 21 p.3 1) CKT Trail - held opening ceremony on May 8 when both Chinese and whites could attend. of Van. was invited to be the chairman. The mayor of Trail was also invited to give a speech. of the H.Q. was also there. 2) Hoysun Assoc. Toronto - due to fund drive the Hoysun district members got contitution from the H.Q. and set up an association. Temporary president , Vice; About $2000 was raised. 3) Western Canada CommerciM Conference finished on May 19, they discussed E. Asian problems and claimed that if the gov't. prohibited E. Asians from gaining entry they could expand the military facilities. They also said that they would send a petition to the Central Gov't. requesting an investi- gation in the conditionsof Chinese and Japanese. They would like to check the sphere of influence by the Chinese and Japanese.
