They were trying to inspect the economic and commercial develop- ment, as well as buy machines. p.3 2) CKT Reading Room in Vic. held speech night when they discussed contemporary China, the aggressiveness of Japan, etc. 3) CKT Cumberland: admitted more new members recently. 4) Kuomingtang Saskatoon - a member denounced KMT claiming that he found it dif- ficult to find a living. 5) Chinese Shingle Workers of Canada announced on May 17 that an emergency general meeting would be held in the associational building on May 23rd.
