- April 19 P.3 1) The neighbourhood, Commercial and labour representation welcomed , principal of the Piu Ching School. (Wong) was in Vancouver raising funds for the school extension. A banquet was held; , of CBA, Consul General Yip, and Consul Sun all participated. There were rep- resentatives from various Chinese schools, labourers and commercial representat- ives. They raised $3700 at the banquet. A committee was set up so funds could be mailed back to China. The cttee co sisted of 3 directors, e.g. , ; 8 assistants, e.g. , etc. and one secretary, P.7 1) Hoysun Assoc. - H.Q. in Vic. and branch in Van. posted combined notice on funds raised for secondary school. The constitution for fund raising was p.3 2) set up and before the association had distributed the donation books, much money was raised. Donations ranged from $10 to $10,000. Total fund was $50,030.
