- March. 12 P.3 1) News from Victoria: 8000 Chinese workers waiting in for transfer back to China; however one Chinese worker started an argument with a guard which resulted in a fight and restlessness among the workers, who tried to molest the guard. The riot was later suppressed by an official armed squad. 2) CKT Vernon: spring festival with few hundred participants. gave a speech to persuade the members to stop smoking and drinking; after dinner (Lee) also wet up an anti-smoking and drinking constitution so that members would abide ins by the regulations. There were 11 members initiat & these rules. 3) CKT Victoria - was set up to attend the opening ceremony of CKT in Saskatoon. Lum would also make a tour in order to ensure better communications among various branches.
