- February 20 p. 2 1) Consul General Yip of Vancouver announced that all workers who were killed during work could ask for compensation with 52 weeks only. Usually the bereived family asked the consulate to help through newspapers or a lawyer. Sometimes the lowyer took too long and fail to receive the compensation. Yipthus hoped that all Chinese would take notice. p.3 2) Hoysun Association Van. - held a banquet on Feb. 18 at Wah-Kiu Restaurant. Many prominant Chinese attended, Consul General Yip, Consul Sun, Chinese Se- cretary of the Consulate , C.P.O.S. Asiatic Pass Agent , , etc.
