- February 17 p.2-3 1) Vancouver Sun reported that ammunition was being found in Chinatown. The police first intended to search for liquor at 727 Princess, when they discovered the pistols, 1 machine gun, and 7500 tullets. They also found a large store of liquor. Meanwhile the owner and occupants of the house ran away. One month ago, the police had also discovered 4 pistols, 1 machine gun, 1 gun and 26,000 bullets at 223 Georgia. All ammo was confiscated. Police had to clues about why the Chinese collected ammo, but they expected to find more in the future. (They did not think the ammo would be shipped back to China because of the inconvenience.) 2) 4000 Chinese workers were transported back to China by 2 liners. 3) CKT Kelowna: thanked those who presented donations and gifts for its opening. Gifts came from CKT in San. Fran., and other branches. A list of executives was posted. President ; Vice.
