January 24 P.2 1) The Public Health department gave a report on condition in Chinatown. The chief claimed that Chinatown had improved quite alot; and most of the residential areas were clean, however there were still some residents living too near to the kitchens. He proposed that he would suggest a minimum area to be set aside for each resident in the house, the new construction regulation. P.3 2) There were more Chinese Vegetable hawkers applying for licenses. There were a total of 83 applicants. The department received $1050 in fees. 3) CKT Medicine Hat: held admission ceremony during which the new executives also assumed offices. Speeches were made by some white guests too. President: ; Chinese Secretary ; English Secretary: , , 3) Saskatchewan announced on Jan2l that the association had taken over the business of a cafe and on Feb. 25 the association would clear all the old accounts for the previous owner.
