- January 7 P.I 1) CKT San Fran. - continuation of report about activities. It was expected that overseas Freemasons would be able to raise one million dollars. 30% would go to establishment of Temple in China, rest for realty development so interest collected could also be used for development of the schools, was selected to be agent to raise funds. Would visit Canada in February. Starting in Montreal, and travelling to west coast. p.3 2) Chinese Shingle Workers Union of Canada: more than 600 workers signed petitition criticizing Lau Ping, a foreman, because he exploited the other on-strike Chinese shingle workers by refusing to strike. He had also accused the secretary of the Union of starting all the trouble.
