Description: August 23. Sat. P.3 1. The Hoysun Association (Vancouver) made an announcement on August 23 about the internal conflict on August 17. It was reported that (Lan Yee Quon) demanded an independent association, segregating them from the C.B.A. He asserted that the C.B.A. structure consisted of too many representatives from the various localities. When the other executives and members questioned the intention of Lan he used violence to scare the members. The association announced that they would fight against who wanted to momopolize the association. 2. A white who had stayed in Shanghai for 2 years made a speech on the current anti-Japanese activities in Shanghai.
