- August 22. Friday P.3 1. The Hoysun Association: During the election of the Hoysun Association on August 17, there were internal conflicts. (Lan Yue Quon ) and Wong Sun Tin were regarded as the bad elements of the association. They even tried to persecute some of the good executives. Wong Sun Tin even used evidence to harm a few members. He was eventually arrested. 2. 35 Chinese merchants were arrested for bringing the goods for door to door . sales. (They violated the regulation for retail businessmen's licence) 3. The C.K.T. in New Westminster celebrated the 5 ancestor day. They also discussed the realty debt ($3,000). Presently, the members could only raise 1/2 of the amount of the debt. However, there were many donation books given out for more donations. 4. denounced Kuomintang on August 20.
