Description: August 12, Tuesday P.3 A Chinese who wanted to learn English in Canada had been refused entry. The immigration officer asserted that he was not a genuine student and he had to be deported on May 29. However, he appealed to the supreme court claiming that he had already paid $500 head tax and the chief immigration office in Ottawa had also permitted his entry. His case would be brought up in the court soon.
