- May 29, Thursday P.3 60 more Chinese were not permitted to land in Canada. They were on board a Japanese Steamer for the journey back to China. 2. who was arrested as an illegal party member could have a chance to be released because the Canadian government had cancelled the law that required the termination of all illegal parties. 3. A Chinese shingle worker in was being molested by a foreman. The other Chinese workers in the same factory immediately went on strike and reported the case to the Chinese Shingle Workers Union ( ).
