- March 20, Thurs. P.3 1. The court hearing of The relevant materials or evidence were translated into English for the court hearing. Some of the letters stated that the murder of in 1918 was only done by a few Kuomintang members and it was not a party activity. 2. The Chinese shingle workers had gone on strike for 20 days and they were still negotiating with the management. Many owners were unwilling to hire white workers due to their higher wages, but on the other hand they were afraid to give consent to the Chinese workers due to the pressure by the other shingle factory owners. Finally they asserted that the reduction of salaries would only be effective in March and afterwards, original salaries would be given back to the Chinese workers. 3. and were in where they persuaded the Chinese residents there to set up a C.K.T. They even helped them to raise funds for its establishment.
