September 23 .3 1) News from Duncan: and were appointed by the Chee Kong H.Q. in Victoria to have an official tour to the branch offices. They were in Duncan on Sept. 14 and both were warmly welcomed. They made speeches on the bankrupcy of the H.Q. and how the H.Q. had dedicated all the money for military use in China. They hoped that the members in Duncan could hfclp the H.Q. to buy the association building back. Eventually, they were able to raise $400. 2) A Chinese restaurant owner was murdered in Moose Jaw. $500 award was given by the restaurant to find the murderer. The in Victoria also supported the search by offering $200 reward.
