Description

September 10 1 1) An article by on his adherance to the motto of the Chee Kong long. 3 2) The Chee Kong H.Q. (Vic.) announced that the headquarter would soon send 2 reps. ( & ) for an official tour to all branch associations in order to promote the developent of the associations. It was thus hoped that the members of any Chee Kong Tong would give support. 3) News from Victoria: The Chee Kong Tong in Victoria had once mortgaged the association building and the building lot for $10,000 to support military expenses in China. After 7 years of struggling, they still could not pay back the money. So on Sept. 1, a general meeting was called forth wehre the reps, from the branch associations were present. They all agreed to re-possess the building by raising funds where they decided to have $3 minimum donation., from the members. In addition, there was also extra dontion ( ). They were able to collect more than $1000 in the 1st recruitment.
