Description
September 6 .3 1) There was a report on Sept. 3 which demanded the Chinese vegetable sellers give a report on their business; the cost and price of their goods to city council. However, due to the different methods of recording invoices, it would be dif- ficult to give a clean review. Ambassador Wong thus negotiated with the Mayor, and promised to ask the Chinese sellers to reduce the price of their goods, so that buying and selling would be justified. Consequently, the regulation which asked for a clean report of the business from each individual vegetables sellers was abolished. 2) The Chinese reisdents in also celebrated the 5-ancestors rem- embrance day.
