August 9 .1 1) Ambassador Wong was praised by a resident in Nanaimo. .2 2) The CBA (Van.) announced on August 8 that there were quite a few opposed to the election by localities representives. They were 47 members of Xiangshan district against it, 80 Yu san - pin yu, 11 district and more were against it. Also, some had planned to start trouble during the final election and they even tried to stop the election from proceeding by giving false alarms to the police. However, the final election was carried out with 2 policemen present to super- vise.
