July 29 p.2 1) The Chee Kong Tomg (Van.) held a meeting on July 28 to elect the 2) Ambassador Wong warned the Chinese committee that they should bring along either the head tax certificate, or the entrance certificate, or nationality certifiO cate, or Chinese passport when they went out because the inspection of national- ity would be starting on August 1st. Those who were unable to produce the cert- ificates might be fined or put in prison and they would get enlisted. 1-3 3) The names of the 5 representatives from the Hoysun Association. 4) The held a meeting on July 28 to elect reps, to CBA election. 5) had difficulties in electing reps. They held a meeting on July 28 whereby there were some members who disagreed with the system by locality representation. There were argummnts and the meeting was a failure.
