- Description
- July 2 The Chee Kong H.Q. in San Francisco sent a letter to Vancouver on June 25 about the reorganization of the China Mail Steamship Co. It stated that the director had met with the secretary and the board of directors to sell theacompany to white men. The shareholders already had held meetings in the CBA San Francisco to investigate the case and save the company. It was hoped that all the overseas Chinese shareholders would send in their statements of investment to the Chee Kong H.Q. Finally, it stressed that all Chinese shareholders Should unite to fight for their investment. 2) In response to the fund drive sponsored by the Tong Way Hospital in HONg Kong for the Canton great flood, the CBA in Victoria fostered a door to door drive on June 30.
