Description
May 8 P.2 1) The Overseas Chinese association in Vancouver criticized on May 7 that the 2 executives of CBA should not use thename of the association to sign the petition on May 6 about prohibition of gambling. It stressed tha they were just using the name of CBA to make thepetition more effective. In addition, it criticized the irrationality of Chinese petitioners to persecute their fellow Chinese. The association was afraid that such a petition would lead the white community to despise the Chinese. 2) One of the petitioners , who used the name of CBA announced that he was not involved in sending and signing the petition. P.3 3) The monthly report (April) of the credits and debits of the CBA.
