Description: March 19 P.2 1) The Hong Kong Bank of Merchants was established in 1917 and due to its successful development, the secretary was sent to the States to investigate the commercial situation. He intended to set up an overseas office. The CBA supported the idea and held a speech day for so that the proposal of establishing an overseas office would be spread and discussed among the Chinese community.
