January 28 P.I 1) Article on gambling. The difference between the Chinese and the whites - social economical and educational difference might account for the excessive gambling among the Chinese. The writer also suggested 2 methods to solve gambling: (a) Harsh control by the association; (b) provide interesting leisure activities e.g. night school or reading rooms. 2) An 8th anniversry party would be held by the B.C.Labour Union on Jan. 28th during which the issue about admission of E. Asians would be discussed. P. 10 3) The executives of Vancouver Chee Duck Gong accounted 8 crimes committed by who had spread rumors and accused the executives on Jan. 9th, p.10.
