He would become an overseas representative of a Chinese mining company in Canada. Chee Kong Tong in Vancouver had held a meeting to introduce the new " 3. 4.Ambassador Yeung announced on Nov. 21st that those Chinese workers who left Canada between Jan. 1st, 1917 and Nov. 15th, 1917 were allowed to come back to Canada freely within 6 months after armistice. However, those who left after Nov. 15th, 1917, had to return within 1 year, otherwise, they would be required to pay an additional $500 head tax.
