September 5th, Wednesday, P. 3 1. 5 Chinese were arrested at 127 E. Pender Street for storing more than $4000 worth of opium and smoking equipments. Later when the police came back to search the whole house they found another storage of narcotic drugs in the basement. 2. 17 Chinese were arrested for gambling. The head was bailed out at $100 the others at $25. 3. The Chee Kong Headquarter announced on Sept. 3 that all the stores and organizations should close down on Sept 9th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate the remembrance day of ^_.
