Description: August 7th, Tuesday P.3 1. Ambassador Yeung announced on July 30th that in Montreal there was a rumor that all landed immigrants who were in Canada for a certain number of years had to be enlisted. However, after investigation, Ambassador Yeung had confirmed that Chinese did not need to be enlisted unless they were of British Subjects, who were admitted into Canada before August 4, 1915. He hoped that the Chinese Community would not be threatened by the rumor of . enlistment.
